Introducing our Smidge® Wheat Germ Oil softgels, a supplement to amp up your intake of natural vitamin E. Ounce for ounce, no other food gives you more.*

Our small-batch, cold-press method allows us to extract and preserve the maximum nutrients from the wheat germ. So you get more of the vitamin E goodness your body craves.

To meet your high standards, we only use pure wheat germ oil, made from the freshest non-GMO North American wheat. And like all Smidge® products, our Wheat Germ Oil is free of common allergens, so it's kind to sensitive systems. Meanwhile, you might be surprised to learn that the majority of supplemental tocopherols are derived from soy and are semi-synthetic.

A single serving contains 1.5 mg of vitamin E (10% of your daily value)*.  Plus, you get additional nutrients your body loves, like omega-3 fatty acids and phytosterols.

100 capsules (1-month supply)

What does Smidge® Wheat Germ Oil do?

Your valiant efforts to find fat-soluble vitamins from quality, unadulterated sources have paid off again. Now, Smidge® brings you a supplement to help your body soak up the most potent, real food vitamin E around.*

Wheat germ oil is a nutritional superstar that notably has rich vitamin E, omega-3 fatty acids and phytosterols (plant-based molecules related to cholesterol).* Together, these gems support a remarkable range of body functions.

The vitamin E in Smidge® Wheat Germ Oil:

  • Acts as an antioxidant to support cells*

  • Supports the immune system*

  • Supports healthy skin

The omega-3 fatty acids and phytosterols:

  • Promote heart health

  • Support nervous system function

  • Support healthy cholesterol*

Dosage:

Always start with a smidge! Take three capsules at once, per day, or as directed by a certified healthcare practitioner (See "low and slow" note below).

Start low and slow: Smidge® supplements are premium, pure and potent. Therefore, it's critically important to start slowly, with a lower dosage than recommended. For example, a very small dose every other day, or even once a week, until you can determine how the supplement affects your body and what dosage feels right for you.

Storage:

Store in a cool, dry area, away from direct light.

Ingredients:

Non-GMO wheat germ - Wheat germ is the embryo of the wheat plant, and it contains the highest amount of nutrients in the entire wheat kernel. This embryo eventually nourishes the new wheat plant, which is why it has so many vitamins and minerals. Your pure wheat germ oil is sourced from the freshest non-GMO wheat, grown in North America.

Softgel - This softgel is made of gelatin bovine, glycerin and purified water. Gelatin bovine is a beef protein product derived from collagen, which is material from animal tissue such as skin and bone. Glycerin is an odorless and colorless liquid sourced from veggies.

FAQ

Is wheat a GMO food?

Nope :) The good news is, all wheat in the United States, and any other country, is non-GMO! While a lot of corn and beans are genetically modified, wheat is not.

Why not get my vitamin E by eating leafy greens, nuts and seeds?

That's one way to do it. But Smidge® Wheat Germ Oil is more efficient. It far exceeds the vitamin E content of all other foods. (See next question.) No preparation is required and it's easy to consume at home or away.

How does wheat germ oil stack up nutritionally to other vitamin-E rich foods?

Remarkably, one tablespoon of wheat germ oil provides 20.3 mg of vitamin E. The next best food source, sunflower seeds, provides only 7.4 mg per ounce, while peanut butter comes in at a mere 2.9 mg in every 2 tablespoons.

Is this product free of common allergens?

Yep. Smidge® Wheat Germ Oil capsules do not contain milk/casein, eggs, fish, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, yeast, corn or soy. It should be avoided if you have grain allergies.

Can people with grain allergies take Smidge® Wheat Germ Oil?

Because Smidge® wheat germ oil is minimally processed to preserve the natural nutrients, the oil may contain trace amounts of gluten and should be avoided by those with celiac disease and severe wheat allergies.*

Where is Smidge® Wheat Germ Oil sourced and created?

The wheat in your oil is harvested in North America, and the final product is produced here, too!

Tell me more about the other vitamin E supplements that derived from soy

Little known tidbit: the majority of supplemental tocopherols are derived from soy, with the U.S. being the top producer of the crop. Soy is naturally high in gamma-tocopherol, so when alpha-tocopherol is required, as is typical for most multivitamins, manufacturers convert soy-derived gamma-tocopherol to alpha-tocopherol. This means that most alpha-tocopherol supplements are not natural, but at best, semi-synthetic. With the main advantage of synthetic vitamin E being low cost, its use clinically is less desirable, partially because these forms are alien to the human body.*
